Emailgents vs MCPEmails
Hosted multi-provider email MCP with send and organize tools.
MCPEmails is the closest product to Emailgents in scope: a hosted MCP server that connects Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Fastmail and generic IMAP accounts and exposes them to agents, with an open-source edition.
The design differs in two places. MCPEmails fetches mail live from the provider on every call and offers write tools including sending, scheduling and organizing. That gives agents more power and makes every search as slow as the slowest mailbox.
Emailgents keeps a structured, encrypted index so cross-account search returns in milliseconds and reports its coverage honestly, and it deliberately ships no send, move or delete tools. Every call lands in your Activity page.

Choose MCPEmails when
- You want agents to send and organize mail, not only read it.
- You prefer live fetches with no server-side index, or want to self-host.
Choose Emailgents when
- You want a connector that cannot send or delete, whatever an email tells the agent.
- You want fast search across many accounts with explicit coverage.
- You want a per-call access log.
Questions
Which is safer?
Both encrypt credentials. The difference is capability: Emailgents has no tool that can send, move or delete, so a prompt injection in an email cannot turn into outbound mail or lost messages.
